About Coach Kay
Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Kannan Sundararajan, also known as Coach Kay, and I am an experienced, certified coach with a passion for sports and endurance running. With a Mechanical Engineering degree, as well as certifications in project management, agile Scrum master, and Lean Six-Sigma black belt, I have also held leadership roles in multinational companies. However, in 2016, I decided to pursue my passion for coaching and launched KaysFIT Academy, where I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, UESCA ultrarunning and performance coach, race director, and corporate fitness consultant. I am proud to have also created marquee events such as OOTYULTRA and Bison Ultra, where my goal is to provide runners with a measured, premium experience in exotic locations
Coaching Style
As a coach and mentor, I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their goals and discover their full potential. With in-depth knowledge of running, sports performance, human anatomy, kinesiology, functional training, sports conditioning, and years of ultrarunning experience, I offer a unique approach to coaching. Using my background in project management and professional process excellence, I teach my clients the best planning skills, empowering them to become their best selves and achieve lifelong success. Remember the saying, “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime”? That’s the philosophy I bring to every coaching relationship.
